Vredenburg is the heart of the Saldanha Bay Municipality, being the largest town in the Saldanha Bay Municipality area on the West Coast serving the greater part of the West Coast. A population in 2011 registered 28, 282, although there is another city in the Limpopo Province also called Vredenburg, this town is on the West Coast of South Africa.
